Cookie Policy

Like many other commercial websites, Visit Hungary National Tourism Organisation Public Benefit Nonprofit Ltd. („the Company”) uses a standard technology called cookies, as well as web server log files, to obtain information about how users use the website. The use of cookies and web server log files enables the Company to monitor website traffic and tailor the content of the website to your individual needs.

A cookie is a small packet of information (a file) that often contains an anonymised unique identifier. When you visit the website, the website requests permission from you and/or your computer to store this file in a designated area of your computer’s hard drive specifically intended for storing cookies. Each website you visit may send cookies to your computer, provided that your browser settings allow it. To protect your privacy, however, your browser only allows a website to access the cookies that it has previously sent to your computer; a website cannot access cookies placed by other websites.

Browsers are generally configured to accept cookies by default. However, if you do not wish to accept cookies, you may adjust your browser settings to reject them. Please note that in such a case certain features or elements of the website may not function properly while you are browsing the website. Cookies cannot retrieve any other information from your computer’s hard drive and do not carry viruses.
